Best Way to Lose Weight Fast

The best way to lose weight fast is of course to use a kettlebell workout. There are fad diets, diets of the week, and of course new workouts every other day that do nothing additional over previous workout routines and are simply designed to make the developer more money by claiming that you can lose the hip weight more quickly if you just buy his DVD. This is false.

The formula for weight loss (or weight gain) is very simple. It is so simple that people often lose sight of the basic task at hand in favor of believing that one thing or another will magically burn more fat or reduce the belly size.

The Formula: (Calories In) – (Calories Out) = Weight Change.

If the number is a negative number, then you are losing weight. If the number is a positive number, then you are gaining weight. The only thing you need to know about weight loss is that you need to eat less calories than you expend every day. The proper daily deficiency advocated by many health experts is to take in approximately 250 to 500 calories less than the amount you expend through daily activity and exercise. This will give you a steady weight loss of 1-2 lbs per week.

So how do you reach that 500 calorie daily deficiency? There are only two ways: Eat fewer calories, or expend more calories with exercise.

Eating fewer calories is hard. The hardest part about it is the fact that you will be hungry. Face it. You WILL BE HUNGRY. Do NOT starve yourself, but if you are not hungry then you are probably eating too much. The best answer to eating fewer calories is to have some will power. There are other tricks you can try as well. Buy more healthy lower calorie foods. By this I don’t mean buy fat-free candies or low-calorie pizza. Buy fresh fruit.

Exercising more is another answer. You need to burn at least 500 additional calories over what you have consumed that day. Here’s the scary hint: You WILL BE HUNGRY. It is going to happen. If you are running a 500 calorie deficiency, you are going to be hungry.

How do you maintain the hunger? The best way is to change the way you think about hunger. Instead of trying to figure out ways to eliminate hunger, embrace the feeling and think of it not as hunger but as the feeling of being skinny. What is more important to you? Your health, looks, and spirit? Or that piece of chocolate cake over there?

Despite what the new age magazines say, fat is not beautiful. It is not okay, and it is not just your body type. Not every girl is going to be a super model, that’s fine. Embrace the qualities you have and be a good steward of your community. But fat is a choice. You are not a size 16 because you are big boned, or have a large frame. You are a size 16 because you eat more calories than you expend every day and have been doing so probably since childhood. You can stop.

The best way to lose weight fast is to use a kettlebell workout where you get a total body workout in that is aerobic and works the core. It is a fast way to burn a lot of calories and get your heart rate up. These are all healthy things and the very best way to lose weight fast.

Remember, there is no workout that can burn fat from a particular place. You can’t burn stomach fat specifically because you can’t work your stomach fat. You can only work your stomach muscles. Your body and genes will determine which fat is removed first and I hate to be the one to break it to you but the stomach fat is generally the very last to go because it is stored at your body’s center of gravity and is therefore the most efficient place for the body to keep extra weight.

But keep this in mind, when the stomach fat starts to go, that means you are nearly at your goal and you have found the best way to lose weight fast. Congratulations!

Workout Plans

It is critical to have proper workout plans ahead of time when you decide to workout. This is even more important when it comes to kettlebells. Workout planning is really all about consistency and safety. You want to make sure you have a plan you can stick to so you can accurately monitor your results as you progress. It is also important to stay within some set limits so you don’t end up getting hurt and throwing away months of potential gains. I find the best way for a beginner to set up a plan is to seek out a personal trainer to evaluate your fitness level and goals.  This is a fast way to learn the fundamentals of using gym equipment, and understand how the body responds to working out.

Planning a workout also gives you motivation to see it through. You have set a goal and it would seem silly to stop midway through that plan. If you step into a gym with no plan set then your work out will be of random length and random intensity. That is not ideal in the long term of course. Here at New Kettlebell Workout we encourage people to add kettlebells into their workout plans. Kettlebells are a great all-around workout tool that can fit into any fitness program. The strength and endurance gains that it offers are second to none, and it also toughens up the core and lower back, preventing injury. Planning an intense kettlebell workout into your existing workout is likely to have dramatic beneficial results. Thats what it’s all about in the fitness world, results.

My personal workout plan changes for each day but the fundamentals remain the same. I like to eat a light high energy meal shortly before the workout begins. Something like a protein shake and some fruit. Nothing too heavy because you don’t want to feel a bloated full stomach during an intense workout. I warm up with a run because I want to have a sweat going and my heart rate built up before I start any lifting. The idea for me is to get the momentum going with the run and sustain it throughout my workout by keeping a good pace through my routine. I do a 15 minute warm-up run at a fairly strong pace. After the workout is done I return to the running. I do a 15 minute run at the end of my workout to wind down. This is not at a strong pace, it starts as a run then I gradually taper off speed and come to a walk. The purpose of this is to come down slowly from the intensity rather than stop abruptly.

It is a fairly generic plan for a workout but it is effective and I think it can be effective for others. The whole fun of working out is that when it really comes down to it, you get to do your own thing, and you get to have fun. I think a good workout plan is crucial to a good workout experience. If you don’t have goals it is nearly impossible to stay motivated or monitor your progress. I encourage everyone to take the time to develop a workout plan that works for them because its not so difficult to do and it really helps in the long run.

Kettlebell

The kettlebell is a pretty curious piece of equipment if you are unfamiliar with it. Everyone is used to seeing the standard dumbbells on the rack at the gym, but maybe not so many kettlebells. The kettlebell is similar to a dumbbell in that it is a mass of weight designed to be held with the hands. The difference is that the kettlebell has a center mass away from the grip with the dumbbell is balanced around the grip. The kettlebell resembles a cannonball with a handle attached, and it is suited perfectly for a wide variety of exercises. It build for a variety of movements that include swinging and ballistic movement. Because your whole body is involved in stabilizing you as you swing and move a kettlebell, it is particularly effective at building strength and endurance in the back, core, shoulders, and legs. They also serve to increase grip strength quite a bit more than dumbbell exercises.

Right now there has been a surge in kettlebell popularity. It was named the “Hot Weight of the Year” in 2002 by Rolling Stone Magazine. For a long time they had been eclipsed by the dumbbell alternative. But kettlebells are now making a huge presence in the U.S. and they are here to stay. They are being used by professional athletes, by the military and law enforcement, martial artists, and fitness enthusiasts. It’s that toughness and endurance and resistance to injury that everyone is after. The kettlebell is the affordable and simple way to achieve all these things.

My personal favorite thing about the kettlebell is how much fun they are to workout with. It really is a more interactive experience, and much more of your body gets involved compared to dumbbell exercises. I’m not suggesting that dumbbells are useless, they have their place for sure, but I personally like to replace a lot of my dumbbell exercises with kettlebell ones that fill the same role if I can. The constant motion and resistance that gets delivered to literally your whole body just feels powerful. It is one of those sensations where you can feel yourself getting stronger. Since using the kettlebell for several years I have noticed my core strength, flexibility, and leg strength improve dramatically. I has made it possible to me to push myself even harder in others aspects of my fitness routine. I don’t believe that this fitness tool is a passing fad what so ever, I think it is here to stay.

One of the important things to know about kettlebell is how to use them safely. When you swing around one of these heavy cannonball-like weights you can really build up some serious momentum. It is important to preventing injury that you consult professionals before trying complex exercises. Kettlebells are a great way to get a high intensity workout but they also can be potentially dangerous. I personally had a professional show me the basics of form and technique so I know how to not injure myself when proceeding on my own. It really gave me the confidence to go all out and enjoy the brutal intensity of the kettlebell workout.
